Like others in here I am essentially an ex player nowadays. I get more enjoyment reading and re-reading threads on this forum than I do from playing. These seem to be proliferating, and the more I see them, the more I see an industry circling the drain. Nobody is going to get excited about having Beat the Landlord and Battleships in their pub, and there's your vicious circle of falling takings, fewer machines, less investment...repeat till dead....

Yeah I would agree with most of the above. Pubs have changed and pub goers have changed. I don't think there was much the gaming companies could have done about it.
