Hex-tinct

Hex Maniac is disappearing fast round these parts It's there to start with but if you have 2 wins on the trot, it's gone when you go back to the Word Games screen And today, we had a £10JP from PMP and collected it and then the machine went into coin reject mode The playing field is starting to look...

Morning All Since Hex Maniac arrived on the scene, we've had £76-worth of goes (mostly £1 but some 50p's too) Total Payout for those goes was £181 Highest individual win to date was £10 As for the bottom corner bonus, you can stop it on the same colour twice and get 2 different bonuses One thing tha...

Hello Word-Uppers

I've been asked by a mate who likes to play Word Soup if there are any legal 3-letter words that use Q but not followed by a U

Any help gratefully received

Thank You

This isn't available anywhere local to me so have only played it twice on forays elsewhere.

Seems to be about 60% of the original categories on those initial plays

Lunchtimes are just for "fun". 3 pints of diet coke and a play on the machine Today 2 goes at Cryptic yielded £1 1 game of Hangman3 = £0 1 game of Snap = £0 4 games of Hex = £3 Broke even, made a loss when you include the cost of the drinks But, we'd've been spending that money somewhere a...

Hex is (was) an ideal candidate because of the amount of time it gives you to solve each Hexagon. With Cryptic the longer you take the less you score so the harder it is to reach the prizes and PMP can drain the timer in seconds when you get near the Jackpot Hex's categories and numbers of letters l...

Quizmaster: The performance depends on how good a mood the machine is in, sometimes the first go can be £1/£2 followed by a £3/£4 but i appreciate these things are normally diminishing returns depending on what it's got ready to pay out. We only get an hour for lunch so only 4 games maximum at 15 mi...

I'm a member of the "Been on 15-1" club.

About 1994/5 can't remember exactly. I was the last player left with 3 lives and then lost them in about 60 seconds as the previous winner kept renominating me. Ended up being the 10th person eliminated so a brave attempt but no glory!

At the risk of sounding a complete anorak, for 2008 I've started keeping a note of performance by machine by pub and also performance by game (a £17.90 win for £1 at TIOLI means that's top at the moment). 27 different games played so far this year , 12 of which have paid out more than they've cost a...

Monday to Friday lunchtimes it's usually 3 of us trying our luck. £1 in each and each person picks which 2 games we play while they're "Captain" Playing as a team helps with TFD (concentrate on a row each when it comes to finding the odd one out) and Celebrity Snap (again, concentrate on a...

Managed a JP on this yesterday 32-5-1 for 101 points (not our best ever score though) to see off Man Utd by 3 points Have to say, Fate intervened a bit because the machine didn't seem to be in a good mood and we only had £1 credit and were going to move on to another pub but decided "Just one m...

Playing WWTBAM the other day, I came to a question where I thought it was B or C. Took 50-50 and, lo and behold, it left B and C! Then did PAF, they thought B and were 40% sure??? Being logical, I took this to mean they were therefore 60% sure about C and plumped for C. Game Over Can only assume tha...
