Personally I pick those on the subjects where I am strongest so that I can constantly choose those subjects and use the specialists as an insurance policy in the event that I dont know the answer myself.

QM I know that the Goldent Tee system wasn't perfect and could still be abused by anyone determined enough but it certainly did dissuade the majority. If anyone has a better suggestion I'm all ears.

I played two of these at the end of last week which hadnt been (previously) completely ruined and it reminded me what an enjoyable game it was prior to them all being so compeletely spoiled that you had no chance of even recycling your £1. Whilst clearly some of my enjoyment was down to being able t...

As a long time and moderately succesful player of Golden Tee where tournaments are played every month it is worth sharing their practices here. Basically to try and prevent this sort of abuse they used to apply the following: Only one prize available to each player based on their best score in any l...

So what is the tournie leaderboard looking like- I can never access it. Reckon we should have an unofficial board here. I have only managed 1899 so far (although no Zs on the board and I tend to rely heavily on double Z, L type words). Did get a high 1500s non clearance which I was gutted about as w...

Having not seen this new release on ItBox yet, I'm a bit confused. What exactly are the 3 versions you're talking about? And does this filthy new dictionary apply to all 3 versions? As in the original Word Up which is still there on the Itboxes I have seen and Word Up Grandmasters edition 50p non t...

Had another go in a different pub and another easy JP. Again prize structure on 50p version not affected. This is great as means that all itboxes effectively have three independent WU installations with two of them effectively virgin territory (for now at least). Can't see the easy pickings lasting ...

Had a go on this at lunch and it did not show leaderboard. Presumably the pros will clean up by winning in several locations? On a more positive note having swiftly JPed the online version, I noticed that if you switch to the 50p play offfered through the GRand Master edition, the JP does not affect...
