Considering the fault you decribed as in the machine just "packed up" I don't think I would even have considered it being an Eprom issue. Maybe I'm wrong.. To me it sounds like a PSU, fuse or wiring loom issue. ___________ Wouldn't an Eprom problem just affect gameplay issues rather than a...

When you say not taking' any coins I presume they are passing through the mech then being rejected? It sounds as though there is no power to the mech... Sounds like reelman is right... Check to see that the mech is connected properly both ends... If this is the case then it could well be that the me...

Depending where the machine has come from it could be that the lock refil switch has been removed from the front of the machine for security purposes. The wires should be on the inside of the machine close to where the switch is usually located.

Could be a routing plug issue but as to why the mech registers coins in test and not in play I'm not too sure. Definitely swap it with another mech of the same type to see if the problem still exists.

I found this post a little confusing. I'm trying to understand it so I can help you. Price of play is controlled by a stake / prize key. There's no option to run a m/c on a 10p stake with a 250 JP. (if there is, I stand corrected). However why would anybody want to do such a thing? The position of t...

Yeah, should be an easy fix..

If there is no noise, i.e. it doesn't sound like it is attrempting to pay out, either:

The m/c thinks there's not neough £ to pay out the bank, or...

The hopper is disconnected...

----Standard refil / Refloat procedure should rectify this...

yep, as he says, remove completely, it's an easy job. Remove switch by twisting, then unscrew the plastic retaining ring and remove button from glass. use a foam cleaner (or any other cleaner really) then repeat above in reverse. It's a half hour job but worth doing properlt. Many m/c's have had a b...

AL is just an alarm code, it is sometimes followed by a number which helps us to detrmine why the machine has gone into alarm.

Dazzer is trying to diagnose the fault so let him know wha MPU it is and what's going on with the led's.

Sounds like a PSU or a wiring loom problem. What technology is this m/c, I can't remember.
