if you look inside the reel drum, there is a little plastic flag, that passes through an opto attached to motor housing, this allows the mpu to see the reels spin

depending on programming and manufacturer the led will be on/off/flashing when the flag is blocking the opto

as far as i'm aware, you can't set it to 5p, only 10p/£5 and up

the bank limit will be a dipswitch on mpu, should be a label on back of cabinet to tell you which does what,

if not there, make a note of what ones are on, and try switching them off one at a time 'till you find the right one

useually ther is a percentage increase on with the higer stake, ie,
if you go for 50p a spin, then the preset percentage as set by the key will apply, and the cash ladder will be in blue

if you opt for £1 a spin then the machine boosts the percentage, and you'll see the red ladder instead

if ican find some "ready made ones, I'll post them to you, but mostly every one seems to use the dip switch types now.

used to have a crib sheet with the various switch settings, and the pin-out to make up hard wired ones, but can't seem to find it anywhere, sorry :-(

it not a case of "re-programming" the machine as such, just getting the settings right. it should go to £5/10p, but thinking about it some machines, especially if it was converted to £25 from £15 may need to have different software, is ther any bags of stuff in the bottom? maybe there is s...

Donkey kong should be early EPOCH, prob is the power supply on the way out,
I have an original simpsons, and it gets left off for months, then generally won't start or doesn't spin up the reels, most of the time a replacement psu sorts it out

did you swap the leads at the reels only? if so, swap 1 and 2 at the board if it has seperate plugs, this will prove if the loom itself is faulty

also have you tried starting it with the top door open? could be lamp mask/loom snagging the reel

flashing means its stuck in reset loop,
could be the game card, check it's seated correctly, or try moving it to next slot (power off)
also check for a bent pin on the card and check power supply is not to hot, and that it's fan is spinning properly

do you mean the artwork?
ie does it light up behind £15 pounds whilst awarding you something less?

if so it's just a case of changing the decal from the inside, it should just slide out from the top. look in bottom of cabinet, the alternatives are often wedged in a bag pushed to the back
