One of my local arcades has "Monkey Business" which you can play for 5p per line if you're just out to pass the time for a bit. Last time I was doing that I must have lost around £10 playing 5 lines. Next to me was a guy playing Slotto at £2 per go. He almost sneered at me when he say my 2...

Didn't football used to be called "Association Football" to distiuguish it from Rugby Football? I think soccer was thus a contraction of "Association Rules".
Sadly I no longer have all the issues of "Shoot!" I bought between 1971 and 1975 so I can't check it :)

Reminds me of when I was playing one of the old 5p machines in a pub back in 1979. If you got a nudge on these you'd get up to five nudges but had to be quick as they were on a timer. Anyway, one of my mates was watching (don't think he'd played a machine or even watched one before) and, when it sta...

.... and Elvis had dataport error.Machines seemed looked after for services though. The dataport error 7.1 came up while I was playing Friday evening. First of all the machine came up with an "alarm" screen saying MPU5 error or something. I found a security guard who eventually reset it a...

South Mimms

Hi, this is my first post here so hope all is in order. Although I've been playing machines on and off for 40 years I don't claim to have any tricks or special knowledge but enjoy playing and chatting etc. Anyway, do many of you get to South Mimms services much? I popped in on my way to London yeste...
