That is all well and good but he makes no impact at all on the only real recognised quiz championships and never has Heh, Liverpool24, as a regular competitor in those championships I'm glad to hear someone's following goings-on on the circuit - do I know you, I wonder? Mark's a good, but not top-l...

I had a Pull the Barmaid two days ago (on an updated Paragon) which took me to seven pints with each pint filled to one near the top - even I then managed to JP it. First time I'd played it for ages too - nice. Outstanding work on YouTube, leamgem. I presume you have either compiled or obtained near...

I think QM is wrong, and underestimates the standard of the general player. Yes, there are no doubt some absolute bottom feeders of the kind QM saw playing the 10cc question. But I think there's a good deal, and perhaps the majority, of players who inhabit territory north of out-and-out fuckwittery ...

It seems like only yesterday that Grecian and Nils were consuming sandwiches and drinks at GW Head 0ffice whilst pontificating and generally thinking the new games on offer offered promise. I have just had the worst ever question amongst the new batch. what was the star sign of the last performer o...

There was just over £30 in it, does the engineer have to physically open these up to chip them? or is it done through the wires? if its the latter its strange, because its in a town centre too. I found one in a chain bar in a city centre the weekend before last (i.e. 3 April). Checked a few since t...

Perhaps the reason fruit machine players are better at finding faults in machines is (a) they are more practical (b) there are far more of them and co-operate more (c) quiz games to a fruity player is an afterthought so are more likely to reveal things (d) they are more money orientated they dont g...

There are quite a lot of tough categories, though, plus a bigger selection of right and wrong answers than are displayed for any given game, so you very rarely get exactly the same grid twice. I have heard some people are doing very well on this - big kudos if so, as I find it tough. I've got to the...

I've not seen anything north of about £7 so far. From £5 to £7 the top prize seems relatively gettable, below £5 more tricky (no doubt as it's building up cash). I presume to get up towards £20 it needs a lot of poor play. I quite like the game, I must admit.

I have never really been into all this quiz stuff, is it good money like? :| I very much doubt participants in this thread are using quiz ability, Stevie. I've played CP2 a bit and would say that to profit from it by skilful means alone would take a fair bit of effort. It's interesting that weaknes...

Anyone got any idea...

...how the new Cluedo Reloaded, on GamesNets and (I think) Ind:es, differs from previous Cluedo Reloaded? Other than the very odd 10p prize for getting a second room, I can't see a difference, and yet there must presumably be some differences for it to be HMRC-compliant. Also, I'm pretty sure I've r...

the old C&R game has TKA and Demmerz in the graffiti too, but it is rare to see a nod to us these days, although there are a few cardinal Richelieu answers. i'm yet to see the question: what might a Hungarian say after she has stubbed her toe? A. good grief B. crivens C. Istenem I've been asked...

Our local has a new release - Caesar's Palace II. Very much like the old one although collecting a 'key' which is now a 'gem' gives you the option to save it to the end game, or use it to level up the pyramid straight away. The end game has been changed to a family Guy-esque knockout cash values fo...

I've definitely been less interested in playing them of late, which is why I've been posting here less. That's due to multiple factors actually - quality of games just being one. I'm certainly aware of some very strong players still making lots and lots from the machines but - with regret - I don't ...

Re: Boris Bikes

Have any of you London based SWPists signed up for one yet? I reckon that I have missed a trick- a Boris Bike would seriously extend my 'range' particularly during the day when time is scarce. Hehe: no. You could risk time looking for an empty rack near your destination to put it in, couldn't you. ...

Maybe the prize structure on the endgame is a movable feast Horners, i.e. it could be £50 one game if it's paying, and £4 if it's not. (I think some of the other games have adopted movable structures like that, presumably with a view to the top prize always being realistically available?) Bag of wan...
