S'ok folks I've fixed it. :-) It was the hopper. popped a new one in and good as gold.

you have standard proms? well the guy i went to reprogrammed some for me. I still have my originals. tried it with and without the slave board, and it still didnt work. still alarming whats the alarm code DATA PORT ERROR 71 when the machine is powering up, what does it say on the display it powers ...

ok. not battery :-( had the proms redone and took the slave board out. still coding. apparently i should be able to run it without the board if the proms are reprogrammed, which i did. Spoke to bell fruit, they said new data pak needed (?) which they dont do! said to try one from another machine to ...

ok. may have found the fault. (hopefully)

the battery looks very furry underneath and some of the board looks 'leaked on' directly under it.

what do you think? try a new battery? Its a varta 068 will i get one from Maplins or somewhere else?

oky doky. door switches all ok as far as i can tell. Changed the bottom one and it made no difference.

Will whip out the board next and check for dry joints. dont want to be beaten! lol

righto, tried that but it's still coding :-( I hope i don't have to 'note the time' I really like this machine!

had to rearrange the way the board fits, it used to be in the bottom of the machine, but it's in the top unit now. next to the reel mech.

took the reels out to photo it

Mmm, righto. It's been working fine for 2 yrs. folks we got it off couldnt understand it either. Any idea how to reset then. Where is the data pac for me to check it's connections etc...

hi everyone. Does anyone have a compact hopper i could buy? or actually it's just the 'guide' piece thats sticks out of the back that i need. It's completely missing off mine , so the coins keep flying off into the machine somewhere!! Many thanks for any help.
