Great work UP - slightly helpful to have an -ICALLY jammed in the right-most columns but still a lot of work to do from there! A much more satisfactory record-holder than anything QUIZZ- related. I'm still barely playing but did manage a few games on a Paragon (I think?) in a St Andrews take away la...

Hmmm DMAC is closing in on my Scottish record I see (assuming he's Scottish and VBOB / Fotherz / WORDUP aren't) Well done jonesy, that's the first time I can remember a 700+ word being scored for the first time by someone outside the VBOB / Fotherz circle. 2 words I enjoyed getting recently in a rar...

Congratulations VBOB, another of the plum high-score records is now unified (previously 799 was top score on old dictionary and 784 on the new). Looks like a far harder word to get than QUIZZICALITIES so I don't imagine there'll be too many copy-cat achievements in the coming months like there were ...

"fazmick", not sure I understand your post... I checked the high scores at the Footage in Manchester, saw someone had scored a 2166 under the name "FAZ PRIK" and reported it to EWQ for the website. I didn't get the score myself (anything that big I would definitely enter as my ow...

I've hit a new solo high - 2319 in Manchester this weekend :D After getting a QUIZZICALITIES early on I didn't dare look at the score til hitting the final word. But it's added 166 to my PB and overtaken the likes of DAVEJON and UP's PBs in the process! Also equalled the WS record for longest word w...

ANGIE ANDY enjoyed a brief reunion this weekend in which we twice beat our PB and were on course to absolutely annihilate it until messing up a clearance with 10 tiles left and ending on 1686, 3 (consonant) tiles unused. It's the highest non-clearance I've ever had and means my first 2200 is still e...

DMAC you're on fire! I see you've now got a 2080-odd in the Counting House. You'll probably usurp me as #1 in Glasgow before long - I've only ever got one 2100+ score in Glasgow.

I couldn't top your score but did lay down EMBEZZLEMENTS on the same machine, which I'll settle for for the time being

DMAC, I don't have a 'local' in Glasgow - I live 30 mins out of the city - but there are a few pubs I visit fairly regularly so I'll look out for your new PB and try and usurp it! My PB was on show in Curlers - 2153 - but I'm pretty sure that machine has long since been removed.

Before anyone else points it out, I have now taken the time to count the number of letters in CHILLINGLY and I realise that it is neither as long nor as high-scoring as THRILLINGLY. I'm still struggling to think of many (any) 2-vowel words that are...

Congratulations B-G-M, a very good score by any standards. One of the words I got recently was THRILLINGLY (385 points, 11 letters). How many longer / higher scoring words are there with only 2 vowels? An obvious one is CHILLINGLY, but I'm sure some of you know some far more interesting / obscure wo...

I'm irked that all these bizarre words I've never even remotely heard of are being accepted whereas the one time I attempted and managed to make a show-offy long word - QUINQUENNIAL - it was rejected! I'm pretty sure this was on a more recent version of the game too with one of the bigger dictionari...

It's back! That's worthy of my first post in about a year! Also means I might actually start playing the game again

CHILLINGLY has 10 with only 2 under 3. I've played WU/WS about three times since summer hols ended - best score has been a 2003, will update EWQ when there's a few more worthwhile things to report. Pleased to see the lifting of the 16+ letter word ban... that should play right into my hands seeing a...

From the EWQ website...
"Halfway House, Liverpool ANDY64 2174"
How do you get numbers into your player name?

I sputtered back into WU action with a 1600-odd non-clear yesterday so might actually manage a score worth reporting some time before Christmas...

I've been quieter than a gagged mouse in terms of WU recently, but ANGIE LIAM had a quick shot in Bar Radio the other day and picked up TRANQUILLITY as well as assorted 1800s. Like many others, I've also yet to come across Word Soup, and yet to understand the difference between it and WU apart from ...
