I'm not particularly far from retiring age and as I don't smoke, drink, go to restaurants, cinema etc, have a 10yr old car, no television / Sky, never take holidays and importantly free of a mortgage can happily (probably the only person who can) live in this situation. My major interest is running ...

Hangman I surmise is not the pro players game of choice similar to 'rockin' Battleships a good game ruined by a poor prize structure. I met a couple who won £15 on Battleships in one game but would be surprised if anyone has taken more than a fiver out of Hangman.

I would be interested to know what the potential jackpot of Golden Gloves is as they seem to have been brought in at £5. I was talking to somebody who played the similarly styled predecessors that I hardly ever played and he told me it was £20 in theory but £10 in practice as you couldn't get a doub...

Great idea Paragon. How about combining Subz and Shitz. The ships can bomb the Subz and the Subz can torpedo the floaters.

The Gambling Commission have a £50 cap on SWP's. Under £50 they are bad enough over £50 they would probably send people round the game developers house to interrogate as to why he had the temerity to develop a game with a life changing jackpot. Yes muddle your observation is spot on. Millionaire tho...

What I would say though are fruity players have balls of steel re the big stakes. SWP players wouldn't enjoy the ride of a fruity, like knowing straight away the likelihood of winning.

The reason why so many fruity players could empty quizzers at certain points was that there were contacts within the companies that were undoubtedly divulging the information for a price. I met a guy who was from Bristol who was paying a mole within a company £5k a year (and that was more than ten y...

Thanks Muddle. It's nice to know I don't always talk out of my arse. The Government is looking into gambling again, primarily advertising, online and roulette machines in the near future (possibly SWP's to a small extent) and as the wheels of parliament turn slowly it's likely we will be in for a ba...

Not at all. It was a games warehouse machine. Will get back there in a few days to see if it's happened or not. The supplier was not the company previously known as Sceptre unsurprisingly as far as I remember!

Thanks for that nugget of information. It won't make a scrap of difference in my opinion but then my opinion is often contrary to virtually everyone else.
