It`s tripping the fuse for a reason - there`s an electrical fault with it and it trips the fuse as a safety measure.

I think it's a bit of a shame that there aren't that many of these sorts of games around any more. YES, there has been far better, but there has been far, far worse. It`s honestly the first time I`ve ever had this when starting with a 2 (or an 11) - and I`ve played this and clones hundreds if not thousands of times. Never even noticed if I had an add again or advance - didn`t know that it meant it negated the silent IM - you live and learn :D Eventually iou`d it...

I had a Global on Epoch tech that did things like that - if I remember right the battery had leaked on the main board and was causing it to do all sorts of crazy things. You should maybe look at that first.
If it`s not that then someone with more knowledge than me will be along shortly no doubt!
