At the risk of posting for the first time in months with nothing more to say than the usual "The End of the World Is Nigh", I thought I should mark the passing of the machine in the King's Arms, Oxford. I mention it because I'm pretty sure this brings to an end an unbroken 30 year run, du...

I once got a £5 spot prize off Pub Quiz. I almost fainted. I'm going back 10 years or longer btw. Seeing Quizmaster mentioned reminds me that I came to play the very same pub quiz game on which I'd been gifted the fiver one day and I thought Pub quiz had crashed- it was asking something like 99 ques...

Alarmed to find both the swps in my locals gone as of new Year but as barman told me and think has been said on this forum before the swp was taking 20 quid a week and the fruit machine was taking 300. That's it right there. They've replaced it with one of these multi fruit machine monsters which is...

Pepsi Music quiz-my favourite game of all time with old doc where is he now fox. Top gameplay - q's, t or false and answer grid rounds and used to pay. Stand and Deliver- for the amount of game you got for 50p And of course original Word Up- amazing to think now but then I recall the tenner would be...

Quick dib on eliminator last night. Category- 'Criminal Offences'. Aside from the usual mysogynistic stuff' getting married' 'listening to the wife' etc one of my options was 'reading fruit chat'.

Mystified mate watches as I debate carefully before eliminating...

Has something gone wrong with using TV games? I mean nowadays we have Pointless, Breakaway and The Chase - all of which could be used in a decentish game. Actually, even Flog It! Come Dine With Me and Four In A Bed could be just about transformed into something that might drag the punters in. Have ...

but the amount of good (playable) titles which have vanished is quite remarkable. there can be no arguments about secret letter or you have won x quid. because they were a piece of piss. As regards YHW£20, that would be a "piece of piss" for only the very best players. Unlike secret lette...

Re: sacred relic

i was playing darts in islington yesterday and found a memorable itbox menu: it seemed completely unplayed with the exception of CP1 (no SURI markers on FFQ, no decent wordgame scores) the screen was a bit iffy but that is what we used to have to put up with. it was a whole lot of fun playing hells...

Annoyance or not, lets not also forget that whatever happens and whether you walk away from swp gaming or not, you satis, have been forever immortalised along with UP, ernest quality etc in a question on the machine databanks which came up yet again today (eggheads no less) which completely threw my...
