ISSUE 54 - WORD UP HAS GONE

I played an Issue 54 today. Bad news guys... Word Up/Soup has disappeared. :x The layout has been redesigned so I reckon an extra 5 or 6 games are on the two screens. DOUBLE VISION: you have a picture on the left and a different one on the right. Different jigsaw pieces float down the screen and you...

In Glasgow:

DGM provides good (beatable) competition on the Itbox Soccer

BOZ tops many of the Word Soups with 1800-1900 scores. Is ANGIE back in Bristol then?

Had a couple of pints in the Counting House this afternoon (main wetherspoons in central Glasgow). Across the 4 machines there's a 95, a 96 ("CASS") and a spectacular 99. Sadly the default REV was on the hi score, so probably recorded by someone who didn't realise how impressive it was

I reckon it's there to give us the chance to play retired/unpopular games, or to protect newbies from getting pissed off at never winning on Boggle or Big Match etc But what's the point in our playing them if The Man can work out that we're good and the game should therefore be set to ultra-tight m...

Anyway, I think it's all an ominous step. It would very easily enable the machine to adapt its difficulty depending on how much the user has won in the past - if QuizMaster or other real boys/terminators happened by, it would clam up completely, for example., to stop them draining it. If Joe Averag...

I know it's been mentioned before but I like the way that Football Crazy (and now Itbox Soccer) can't handle accents. Like

LIVERPOOL MANAGER - BEN TEZ

SOUTHAMPTON PLAYER - AUGUST N DELGADO

Someone's obviously just cut and pasted squad lists in without engaging brain

Anyone play as INCA or know who INCA is? I've spotted two very respectable showings locally to my work in the last week - a 95 points on Fantasy Football and a JP on Give It A Whirl. In different pubs (obviously) although curiously on the GIAW machine he'd left quite a bit of cash in other games on...

It helps to be able to tell the difference between Watford & Arsenal's black players, between the premierships' bald players (most of whom seem to play for Everton & Man City) and between the various Korean/Chinese/Japanese. Spoiler picture quiz questions appear to be Tottenham 84/85 squad a...
