Re the 1 in 80 33/1 shot winning - i can except that, but isn't the skill picking out the ones that have a better chance? I mean, if I give a golfer a better than 33/1 chance, and I see him in laddies at 33's, then i'm going to back him each way. It's mathematically speaking the only time that you s...

I'd have to agree, each way betting can be worthwhile - i've had a few 33/1 + results at the major golf tournaments thanks to each-way betting.

Yes, it is. The referee for both games was a certain Major Marindin too, just incase you didn't know!!
A couple of poor questions really, i couldn't be arsed thinking up tougher ones, or ones that wouldn't need some research. Over to you.

You're such the gent, Ernest.
Okay, football: Which two teams are the only ones to play against each other in successive FA cup finals? A bonus 'correct' for the years.

Joy of joys, a winner. Haven't had the honour for a while, but i've not been on site for a while. Not sure if this is too specific a question, we'll see how it goes Maths: What does e^i*pi - that's "e to the power i times pi" equal? (where e = 2.718..., i = the square root of -1, and pi = ...

World Cup top scorer

You heard it here first, lump onto Luca Toni @ 33/1 (Ladbrokes). Lampard @ 50/1 looked a tempter too, penalty taker and all.

Can also do a £75 streak of flashing IM, j/p off cash shots, flashing IM. Can take a good £50-60 for a j/p at the wrong time though, be careful!

Either that, or we discuss it further in the chat room, if you so choose to (i'll be in there for the next half hour).

In my explanation of 2-300%, I was only referring to FOBT, i'm fully aware of the casino pay-out of 97.3%

I concede your 18/37^20 as well.

Ok, i'll try this again. The downfall of the message board is typing with 'the rage' on, not thinking about it. You're right, 37/1 (or 36/1) is not the chances of your number not coming in during 100 spins. But as i'm sure you'll understand, the odds calculated are irrelevant, it doesn't prove anyth...

"You're right of course, and people like the original poster of that shite - stuart something - are the reason casinos /FOBTs etc are a licence to print money." Quote the infantile who said this... i'm not the reason that FOBT's are a license to print money, everyone has the choice to play...

I may be wrong in what i'm saying here, but it's just my thoughts on things without knowing too much of the specifics (if I knew them, i'd be making £0000's a day from the bookmakers). Firstly, the 2.7% figure is "edge", or the minimum theoretical amount that a casino will make on it's rou...

The odds of getting 14 reds in a row is 18/37^14 which is 1 in 24044 a big difference to your calculations. This is one of the reasons Martingales fail along with a house limit. Anyone that gambles in a betting shop is a mug. There are online opportunities that beat every form of gsmbling here, exc...
